Course of Study

The Degree course of B. H. M. S. comprises a course of study consisting of curriculum and syllabi, recognized by the Central Council of Homoeopathy, provided in the regulations of the Uttarakhand Ayurveda University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand spread over a period of five and half years, including compulsory internship of one year duration after passing the Final Degree Examination. The internship shall be undertaken at the hospital attached to the Institute.

Seats Available (50)

Admission for 25 seats will be made on the basis of Uttrakhand Pre Medical Test conducted by Government of Uttrakhand.
25 seats will be allocated on the basis of Combined Pre Medical Entrance Examination conducted by Association of C. P. M. E. E., Dehradun, in All India level. The entrance examination for both categories is usually held in the month of May every year.

Eligibility

An applicant is eligible to take admission in B. H. M. S. (I) course if:
He / she has attained or will attain the age of seventeen on or before the 31st December of the year of admission to the B. H. M. S (I) course.
He / she has passed the 12th class under 10+2 scheme from any recognized Statutory Board / Council / University with requisite 5 subjects including Physics, Chemistry & Biology provided that such Statutory Board / Council / University is recognized by ayurved university, dehradun, Uttarakhand.
Blind (including color blind), deaf and / or dumb candidates shall not be allowed for admission in the course.

Note:-
A Candidate need to satisfy the conditions of the qualifying examination as prescribed by the entrance examination conducting authority.
Candidates who have appeared at the qualifying examination in the current year are also eligible to apply and appear in the Admission Test. Their candidature will be taken into consideration provided that the result of the qualifying examination is published before the notified last date of admission and they have secured the required percentage of marks, substantiated by production of documentary proof.

Admission Test

  • The Uttarakhand Pre-Medical Test (U. P. M. T.) Written Competitive Test for students of Uttarakhand is conducted by the State Government of Uttarakhand at different centres. Candidates should therefore give their choice of centre in the application. They must note that centre of examination once allotted to the candidate, shall not be changed and any request for such change will not be entertained at any stage.
  • The Combined Pre Medical Entrance Examination is conducted by Association of C. P. M. E. E., Dehradun, for 25 seats in All India level.
  • Candidates interested for admission may directly contact with the college authority.

    Notification for the admission and date of examination for both the above mentioned premedical tests is done through all the leading newspapers of the country.

Procedure for Applying

  • Notice inviting applications are published through leading newspapers and Institute’s Website.

  • Candidates, who are intending to appear in the Admission test, are to apply on the specified Proforma, after completing all the formalities and satisfying all the conditions.

  • The duly completed application forms should be sent to the authority conducting the qualifying examination.

Procedure for Selection

  • Based on the results of the Admission Test, merit lists will be prepared on the basis of which admissions are made as per the norms specified by the university and Govt. of Uttarakhand.

  • Selected students are invited for the counselling, the venue and date for which is declared in the leading newspapers and website.

  • Inter merit of two or more candidates in the same category obtaining equal marks in the admission test will be determined in order of preference as under:

  • Candidate obtaining higher marks in biology portion in the Admission test.

  • Candidate obtaining higher marks in chemistry portion in the Admission test.

  • Candidate obtaining higher marks in physics portion in the Admission test.

  • By the percentage of marks obtained in the 12th class Examination.

  • Candidate older in age.

Procedure for Admission

  • Candidates will be admitted only after verification of their eligibility. All original certificates / testimonials / documents will have to be produced for verification. The date of admission will be notified along with the intimation to the empanelled candidates. On the notified date the candidate will have to be present in person. If a candidate fails to report to the Institute on the notified date, the offer of admission shall automatically be cancelled and the seat shall be offered to the candidates on the waiting list in order of merit.

  • Candidate seeking admission must submit an application to the principal in the prescribed form which can be obtained from the office or by sending a DD payable at Rudrapur for Rs.500/- only in favour of “Chandola Homoeopathic Medical College, Rudrapur”. Application fee once paid is not be refunded.

  • Original Certificates and documents needed with the application form:

  • Certificate of age (S. S. C. / H. S. certificate)

  • Conduct certificate from the head of the institution last attended.

  • Transfer certificate from the institution last studied.

  • Mark sheets of high school and higher secondary examination.

  • Four duly attested passport size photographs and two stamp sized photograph.

  • Caste certificate.

  • Caste validity certificate.

  • Migration certificate.

  • Certificate of prizes, scholarship, co-curricular activities, games & sports etc.

  • Admission granted is provisional and is subject to cancellation if any short coming is found.

  • The payment of all the fees

  • Production of original certificates

Medical Examination

The selected candidates shall have to undergo medical examination by a Medical Board set up by the Institute, consisting of faculty members of the Institute. If, in the assessment of Medical Board a candidate is found medically unfit to be admitted to the course, then he/she will be rejected and will not be admitted and the decision of the Board shall be final. In that case, in his/her place, next student in order of merit will be admitted.

 

Fee Structure

  • The fee shall be Rs. 110,000/- per annum as follows and is as directed by Government of Uttarakhand from time to time.
  • Hostel Charges including Mess & Conveyance charges shall be Rs. 90,000/- per annum.
  • Exanimation fees will be as per norms and directives issued by Uttarakhand Ayurveda University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Note:-

  • The fees shall be paid in advance for B. H. M. S. I, II, III, IV before the session begins.
  • Regarding Study tour expenses will have to be borne directly by the concerned students.90,000
